Oud Wajj is built around the rare Taif rose, bright, sharp, and luminous, set against the depth of oud and warm resins.
It opens with a crisp rose water accord, lifted with saffron and softened by a subtle fruit accord of fig and raspberry, inspired by the spice markets and orchard valleys of Taif.
At its heart, Taif rose absolute reveals its full character, vivid and slightly citrus-laced, layered with Turkish rose for body and diffusion.
The base settles into Oud Assafi and Benzoin, adding warmth, depth, and a quiet resinous sweetness.
Oud Wajj is a tribute to Taif, historically known as Wajj, a mountain city in western Arabia renowned for its rose cultivation.
Grown at over 1,800 metres, the Taif rose blooms briefly each year and is harvested at dawn before being distilled the same day. Its profile is distinct, bright, slightly citrus-edged, and more vivid than traditional rose oils.
This fragrance captures that contrast. A luminous rose opening meets fruit and spice, before settling into a deeper structure of oud and resin.
At its foundation is Oud Assafi, a signature material within Rosard, linking the fragrance back to our own heritage and the traditions of oud craftsmanship.
