The opening is smooth and luminous, led by Australian sandalwood and softened by violet leaf and rose, giving clarity and lift without sweetness.

As the scent settles, Mysore sandalwood and Dreamwood take centre stage. The texture becomes denser, more tactile. A worn leather accord and dry incense smoke evoke the journey itself, satchels, resin, and time.

Named after the Arabic word safar, meaning “journey,” the fragrance traces the ancient incense routes that carried Indian sandalwood westward through Arabia and beyond. For centuries, this sacred wood travelled by horseback, wrapped in leather satchels and steeped in incense smoke at desert stopovers.
